Is October Over Yet?

Remember the post I wrote last week about pregnancy experience as the greatest thing ever? Well... forget it, I'm taking it back!

Here's why...

1. I have to pinch my arm countless of times to keep myself awake during work hours, and then when I get home, all I wanna do is crawl into bed and take a nap.
2. I have to force feed myself everyday because I need to digest something for the baby growing inside of me, but everything taste metallic and bitter.
3. I have to stay away from my poor puppy because his smell makes me wanna puke.
4. I have to stay away from the Hubby (or at least order him to stop wearing any cologne or body spray) because cologne makes me nauseous.
5. My boobs are so sore I can't sleep in my favorite position.
6. I get up every hour to go to the bathroom.
7. I haven't gotten laid in almost a month, and probably won't for three more weeks, until we know for sure that the baby's okay.
8. I'm too hormonal (self explanatory).
9. And the birthing process that I have to go through?... let's not even go there for now.

Honestly God, where did you get the idea that women are the one who's supposed to carry babies? Isn't our emotional instability enough indication?

PS. But God, I'm only kidding! I'd willingly go through this a hundred times for the chance to have a child!

About the boobs... holster them 24/7. Sports bras are my best friend, even when sleeping. Getting laid? Yah, no need to rush that, either. Definitely not the most flattering thing with a big belly!

The only thing you are kidding about is the willingness to go through it a hundred times just wait till the little demon is 3.

You will get all your energy back when you feel twice as big as the house ;). Then everything tastes great too so hang in there-- I think.

Oh! I didn't know you were pregnant! Congratulations! How far along are you? You sound like you're in your first trimester? If so, don't worry, it'll get easier...then harder...then easier again...and then harder...and then, yeah, so on and so forth for the rest of your life.

I remember waking up one morning (during my first trimester), taking a shower and then going back to bed for a three hour nap. Nothing quite compares with hormone-induced exhaustion!

Oops! I commented on your posts with the wrong Google account. Sorry! In case you're wondering who I am, it's me, Emily, from Discovering Flowers. (And I can't even claim pregnancy-exhaustion as an excuse!)

Awww... Sorry this post made me chuckle. Congrats on your pregnancy sweetie. After a few months, I'm sure you'll get used to the feeling of being pregnant and you won't be as nauseous.

i just started reading this, and i like it already. congrats on ur pregnancy. i have a daughter myself. thankfully, i never got any of the symptoms u have, but i gained A LOT of weight. depending on how far along u are, sometimes it goes away after the first trimester. not always. and about the weight thing, try to walk a lot. and if u havent had any complications during the pregnancy so far, (i.e. bleeding, spotting) sex is OK. especially when ur further along, about to pop, it helps stretch u out more, and semen is a natural medicine to help get things kickin'! u'll find that later on in the pregnancy u'll get more turned on. it is ok. trust me. nothing happens to the baby.
as for the boobs, sorry to say, it doesn't get better. it does help to wear bra's tho. if it's unbearable pain, try a heating pad, or something to relax u.
and as for giving birth, its the most natural thing. i had the epidural, so i didnt feel a thing, thankfully. if u don't have it, ull just feel pressure. dont worry. tell hubby to be there every step of the way, and telling u that u can do it. it helps!
im sorr i know this is kinda long, but the being sleepy is normal as well. after my hubby would go to work, i'd sleep for like 3-4 hours. even after the baby was born, i'd take naps with her. the fetus just takes all ur energy, and nutrients from u. eat healthy. and stay calm. it'll all be worth it in the end =)
