I'm temporarily breaking my hibernation to post a short rant.
A cop gave me my first ticket yesterday. Yes, my very first. I'm usually a law-abiding citizen. ;-)
And no, it's not for speeding!
It's for talking on the phone while driving!!! Yes, seriously! How the heck am I supposed to know that I was driving by one of the very few cities in Ohio that imposes the 'no talking while driving' law? Okay, I know, I know! With or without law, I shouldn't be doing that in the first place, so I guess that should teach me two lessons.
(1) Don't talk while driving!
(2) Pay attention to road signs (big or small)!
And you know what the irony is? I was actually at the store thinking of buying a Bluetooth last weekend (you know, that thing you use on your ear that makes other people feel stupid thinking you're talking to them and then realizing you're not?), but decided to put it off and save money for our Chicago trip. Well, I'm definitely spending money to buy one now, in addition to paying a $105 fee! Ugh!

Yeeps! And FYI Chicago is one of those cities, so beware!
ahhh tickets. booo
and i was going to tell u exactly what sassy britches did...watch out, while in the chi!
Oh man, I've been there! Luckily in WA they can't pull you over for that but they certainly can ticket you if they got you for something else. In my case it was for wearing my seatbelt "incorrectly".
Grr, I'm still pissed about that. I ended up going to court to fight it, I only had to pay the court fee instead.
all of california is that way! its horrible. i don't normally talk on my phone and drive but sometimes its needed!
congrats .. lol
you gotta try everything once ..
Aww man!! I'm so sorry to hear about that!
Oh no! That sucks! Looks like you need to buy a bluetooth. =)
I'm so sorry about the ticket, but the bluetooth sounds like a very good (and safe) investment :-).
That really sucks! I have to admit, there are quite few drivers out there who can't multi-task at all (contrary to their beliefs). I'm not condoning the multi-tasking, but why did their incompetence have to ruin it for the rest of us?
In the Philippines, there is no such law and even if there was, law enforcers can't enforce it. This country sucks.
argh!
must make you feel grrring!!! but hey it could b worse like they say :)
when life gives you a ticket, you take it as a clue remember :D
hugssss
hey you... i have something for you at my blog. =)
What a shame, first ticket. Definately get a bluetooth headset. Much safer and you'll never have to worry about another ticket again! It's been illegal to drive and talk on the phone forever.
That is so frustrating! Go get the bluetooth!
i m missing you.
just too much.
hope u r well!
